Member Access Sessions

CONNECTING THROUGH CLAY - MEMBERS ACCESS SESSIONS

Canberra Potters has facilities for Members holding a WHS orientation who would like to access a Ceramics Workshop to work independently.

When booking, you have a number of categories to choose from;

Wheel sessions, Every day - Capacity for four people per session time in the member’s workshop.

Handbuilding, Every day - Capacity for two people per session time in the member’s workshop.

Glazing, Every day - Access to the member’s glaze room table only Two people per session time

Member’s Access sessions - Only available Thursday 10.00 am - 1.00 pm and Friday 1.00pm to 4.00 pm in workshop one. Capacity for twenty people per session. 

Member’s Workshop Housekeeping

Canberra Potters provides shelving to store drying work for a maximum of two weeks. All work must be left with your name and number, and any work left for longer than two weeks will be disposed of at the workshop manager’s discretion. Strictly no clay or tool storage permitted at any time. If you need storage space, enquire in the shop about renting a locker. Anything left on the member’s workshop will be removed at the discretion of Canberra Potters staff.

Members must supply their own bats, boards and tools, nothing is to be taken out of workshop one for access sessions. 

Members are required to clean up and be ready to leave at the end of each session. Failure to do so may result in you losing access to the workshop.

Who can use the members workshop?

- All members over the age of 16 years can book and access the workshop.

- Members aged between 12 and 15 years can can attend with a parent who is also a member (Family Membership). Both people attending must book and pay for access. The child member must be supervised by their parent at all times.

- Children under 12 are not permitted to access the members workshop at any time.

- All members must have completed and have an up to date Members Orientation session. Orientation sessions must be refreshed annually.

Cost

$10.00 per session.

Sessions are non-refundable. and non transferrable.
