Canberra Potters has been offerring pottery classes for school aged children for over thirty years.

We have nurtured the creativity and imagination of more than a generation of children from the ACT and regions. Some of these have gone on to persue art at university (and even come back to work at Canberra Potters!). We’re sure all have benefited from the opportunity to learn to problem solve and think creatively while having fun with clay.

In a supportive and accepting environment our experienced teachers guide and encourage children. They will learn the basic clay skills to help bring their ideas to life.

A weekly pottery class provides children with opportunites to create and explore their ideas, while making friends and learning skills that will have ongoing benefit as they grow and develop.

It’s a great break from the commitments of everyday life, doesn’t require the use of an iphone or computer…well…maybe the occasional bit of research for their projects!

We accept enrolments from school aged children between six and sixteen years of age. Parents who would like to share the experience of a pottery class with their child are also welcome to enrol and join the fun

2024 Canberra Potters Term Dates

*Canberra Potters terms are nine weeks. Terms in 2024 will commence with the ACT school terms.

Term 1 - Monday 29 January to Sunday 31 March. Please note classes impacted by Easter will finish a week later by 7 April.

Term 2 – Monday 29 April to Sunday 30 June.

Term 3 – Monday 22 July to Sunday 22 September.

Term 4 – Monday 14 October to Sunday 15 December

Please note - Canberra Potters does not keep waitlists for classes. Cancelled places are put up on the classes webpages for rebooking.
