Canberra Potters offers a structured program with classes designed for all levels of skill and experience, from the absolute beginner to the independent ceramic artist. We run 9 week courses during the ACT school terms, as well as short courses and workshops throughout the year. Please read or Terms and Conditions before you book any class.

We are an accessible venue and welcome people with disabilities into our classes, some classes offer extra support for people with disabilities.

Health & Safety practices are in place for all classes. Please be aware that changes may occur at short notice based on current government health & safety advice. Please ensure your email and phone details are correct on booking so we can contact you if required.

Please note - Canberra Potters does not keep waitlists for classes. Cancelled places are put up on the classes webpages for rebooking. Canberra Potters do not offer make up classes.

Introduction to Clay

Our 9 week Introduction to Clay course is for those wanting to begin learning in ceramic skills or returning to pottery after a break away.

Clay Foundations

Our 9 week Clay Foundations classes focus on specific skills and techniques for those who already have some clay knowledge. We regularly run wheel throwing classes, hand building and sculpture classes as well as other specialist skills and techniques. 

Continuing Clay

Our 9 week Continuing Clay classes are our most self-directed courses. They are for people with some clay knowledge and skills, who are seeking expert guidance from our experienced teachers.
Some classes also provide supported teaching for people with disabilities.

We offer short courses and workshops for potters and artists at all levels of experience and interest.
