Congratulations, you’re a potter! You’ve worked hard to get where you are but now it’s time to take your pottery to the next stage and put your creations into the public sphere. That’s where the Canberra Potters Emerging Makers Ceramics Market comes in!
Established by the Canberra Potters, this market provides emerging makers with a new outlet to sell their wares and is a unique opportunity for the public to meet and buy directly from the maker in a relaxed and compassionate environment. The markets have become highly anticipated events in the Canberra Potters program, with thousands of people coming through the three markets held in 2021.
All early-career ceramic artists and potters are invited to apply. No market experience is required, however if you’re uncertain as to whether you’re ready, please feel free to get in touch with our staff via the email on the application form below.
Dates: 6-8pm Friday 6 May and 10-4pm Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May 2022.
About: The market is a pottery/ceramics focused market, so the majority of products for sale must be made out of clay and made by the stallholder/business. We invite applications from emerging makers only (with limited market experience). Established makers should keep an eye out for markets coming later in 2022. Interstate stallholders are also welcome to apply but must comply with relevant Covid-19 restrictions.
Stallholders are required to provide their own stall set up within a space of 1.8m wide by 1.5m deep and provide staffing for their stall for the duration of the event. Stallholders are also required to complete all sales handling (unlike, for example, in our Christmas Fairs).
Fees: CPS Member: $225.00, General Stallholder: $275.00. No additional commission is taken by Canberra Potters.
Once your application has been accepted, you will be invoiced the stallholder fee which is payable within 14 days. Please read through the Terms and Conditions carefully, as this document contains all of the information you need to know for the market.
