What you will learn

Enjoy a fun day of clay activities — you can have a go on the potter’s wheel, make a platter to amaze your friends, make a clay creature for your garden, decorate and refine your pots and take home a pot you’ve glazed and Raku fired yourself — raku firings are weather dependant and will not take place on very hot or wet days.

About the teacher

Tony graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts (Sculpture), Canberra School of Arts in 1995. Since that time Tony has had numerous exhibitions and commissions many in the realm of public and community art. His involvement with the Canberra Potters dates back to 2014 when he taught a special needs group of students from Belconnen Community Services. During these classes he championed the positive effect working with clay can have on those with disabilities. Tony has since been regularly engaged to teach during our popular school holiday program.
