This March, join current artist-in-residence Gemma Brown (2023 Emerging Artist Support Scheme Residency Award recipient) for the first Clay Conversations of 2024!
We look forward to welcoming you to a relaxed evening in the artist-in-residence studio as Gemma discusses her work, inspirations, and her experience as artist-in-residence at Canberra Potters.
About Gemma: Gemma Brown is an artist working primarily in ceramics on unceded Ngunnawal/ Ngambri land. Her dual practice spans both functional ware and experimental sculptural forms. Through a practice based in curiosity and play, her experimental processes exploit material properties of industrial waste and commercial ceramic materials. Gemma responds to what she sees in the environments around her, with an emphasis on exploring human relationships with the environment during a time of rapid environmental change.
About Clay Conversations: Clay Conversations is a monthly lecture and conversation series hosted by Canberra Potters, which features clay-based artists, arts professionals, teachers and more.
Entry by gold coin donation. Please RSVP for catering purposes.
