Canberra Potters is the leading ceramic arts organisation in the ACT and one of Australia’s only fully integrated ceramics centres. As a not-for profit membership-based association, supporting the ceramics community at all levels of practice is integral to our mission and our fifty-year history.
Renewing Members
Existing Members can renew their membership through their online account, before the expiry date. Simply login, go to “Member Area”, click on “My Account” to find your membership, click on the “renew” link and follow the instructions.
If your membership has already expired, you can renew simply by clicking on “Join” (below) and proceeding to purchase the appropriate membership type. As long as you use the same email address you used for your previous membership, the system will link your new purchase to your user profile. Your login details will remain the same as you had previously set up. If you experience any issues you can contact our team at admin@canberrapotters.com.au.

By becoming a Member with Canberra Potters Society, you can access some great benefits within our amazing facilities and in the community, such as:
Discounts on classes
Members receive a 5% discount on all class, workshop and masterclass bookings.
Discounts on clay purchases and firings
Members receive:
- a 5% discount on clay purchases made at Canberra Potters Society (limit of 4 bags of clay per week);
- discounted rates for firing of work created during term classes (applicable to foundation and continuing clay classes); and
- a discount on clay purchases and tools at Walkers Ceramics in Fyshwick.
Access to firing services
Members can access our firing service at a cost of $9 (bisque OR glaze), or $15 per kilo (bisque and glaze), up to 10kg per week – Firing Service.
Note: Student work is given priority during peak periods and firing times may vary.
Members’ newsletters and events information
Members receive regular mailouts advising of upcoming events, changes in policies and opportunities available.
Annual Members’ Exhibition entry
For a small fee, Members have the opportunity to enter the annual Members’ Exhibition.
Opportunity to sell work
Members have the ability to apply for opportunities to sell their work in the Canberra Potters shop, or to hold market stalls at events such as the Christmas Market.
Access to Member Workshop and Kiln Hire
Subject to additional conditions and licencing, Members can access our Member Workshop and glazing facilities to pursue independent work – Independent Workshop Access.
Membership options
All prices are for 12-month membership period.
Single membership – $77
– individual adult over the age of 18.
Family Membership – $110
– family of 2 adults and up to 2 Children between the ages of 6 and 18.
Senior Membership – $60.50
– individual adult over 55 years of age.
Senior Family Membership – $77
– 2 x adults over 55 years of age living at the same residential address.
Concessions or Full-time student – $60.50
– individual adult over the age of 18, holding a valid concession card, or a full-time student.
Family membership additional information:
Children must be supervised at all times on or in the Canberra Potters facility by a responsible adult, parent or guardian who is a Canberra Potters member.
For safety reasons children 5 years of age and under are not permitted to access workshops.
By including children on a family membership, any and all adults included in the membership confirm that they have read and understood the above conditions for workshop access and supervision of children while on the Canberra Potters premises.
