Calling all makers, are you ready to showcase your creativity and craftsmanship at the Canberra Potters Christmas Fair?

Canberra Potters Christmas Fair is a curated retail event held annually in December in the Canberra Potters Gallery space. All members of Canberra Potters are invited to apply to be a part of this enchanting and much anticipated Christmas event, with stallholders being responsible for creating a beautiful stall, while Canberra Potters staff take care of the rest over the following 10 days!

The market begins with a VIP Preview Shopping Night prior to the official opening of the event on Thursday 3rd of December, a lovely opportunity to be present to meet your audience. 

The market will be open to the public from Friday 4 December – Sunday 13 December.

Clay Conversations: Paul Davis and Jacqueline Clayton

Join us on the last weekend of [Un]common Ground for a unique conversation as internationally recognised ceramic artists Paul Davis and Jacqueline Clayton explore their individual practices, their collaborations, their deep engagement with materials, and their reflections on their first exhibition together. 

Against the stunning setting of their exhibition [Un]common Ground, hear how Paul and Jacquie have successfully navigated five decades of ceramic practice across Australia and Japan, participated in national and international exhibitions, maintained independent practices, and collaborated with leading restaurateurs on bespoke tableware. 

This special Clay Conversation with exhibiting artists and current Canberra Potters Artists-in-Residence will be facilitated by artist, Japanese Tea Master and Board President Prof. Veronica Taylor.

Canberra Potters Christmas Fair

Join us for our 2025 festive event, a curated Christmas Fair featuring 18 of the region’s local ceramic artists. 

The event will be held in the gallery space at Canberra Potters with extended opening hours 10am to 4pm from Friday 5 – Sunday 14 December.  

Escape the Christmas rush and support handmade with a beautiful array of ceramic products available for your gifting needs including tableware, jewellery, sculpture and Christmas decorations. From beautiful gifts for your loved ones, to Kris Kringle, end of year teacher gifts, to large statement pieces for your festive table-scape, the perfect piece of ceramics awaits you. 

The Canberra Potters shop will also be open for the full duration of this period for your gifting needs.

Be the first to buy from our 18 feature artists at out the Christmas Fair preview event.  Back by popular demand this special event provides first access to available pieces and offers a wonderful opportunity to meet the makers and find out more about their practice. 

Canberra Potters and Watson Arts Centre acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land where we meet and work, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people and other First Nations people who are connected with this land. We celebrate and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of the ACT and region. This is Aboriginal land. Always was always will be.
