Dates and duration: Term 1

9 weeks from Wednesday 5 February to Saturday 1 April 2020.
Select Wednesday, for example and your class is Wednesday each week for 9 weeks.

 

Suitable for

  • wheel throwers and hand-builders
  • beginners who have completed the Introduction to Clay course
  • people with at least some knowledge and experience of clay.

The class includes

Richilde will teach you a range of making techniques and assist you to develop your own making plan using a provided template and a sketchbook/visual diary*, as you plan and create your pieces during the term.

What you will learn

You will explore principles of design and further develop your technical knowledge.
This course caters for those who are full of ideas as well as those seeking inspiration and guidance or are keen to develop a personal style.

About the artist

Richilde is a Canberra based emerging artist working with ceramics. Material curiosity orientates Richilde’s practice: she is interested in using clay in a variety of ways to articulate and explore her surroundings. This process has resulted in experimental, gallery-based projects, where ceramics are used in spatial installation informed by experience of the natural environment. Richilde also makes functional work under the name Girl Nomad Ceramics.
