Canberra Potters Teachers’ Auction

The Canberra Potters Teachers’ Auction is an online silent auction featuring the contemporary ceramics of some of Canberra Potters’ incredible teaching staff, an initiative devised as a response to the pandemic. Canberra Potters is committed to supporting its artists, staff, students and members, and although we’ve had to temporarily close our doors, we wanted to keep you involved in the best way we know how — with pottery!
The Important Info:
The auction will run as an online silent auction on the Canberra Potters Facebook page from 9.00am Friday 1 May 2020 until 8.00pm Thursday 7 May 2020.
Once bidding opens, find the photo album “Canberra Potters Teachers’ Auction” to bid. The album will only be visible on the morning that bidding opens. A bid for an item can be made in writing by commenting on the photo of the auction item in the album.
This is a unique opportunity to purchase work from our teachers and to support them directly during this challenging time. Each piece available has a reserve price which is significantly lower than the recommended retail price of the work. Proceeds will go to the individual teachers, so you can be assured that your money is going to a worthy cause.
From all of us here at Canberra Potters, we want to thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to your participation in the auction, so bid, and bid generously!
