Workshop Two

Jackie Lallemand is a practicing ceramic artist well known for her engaging and characterful sculptures of dogs and chickens.

Over four sessions In January join Jackie in our airconditioned workshop to create hand-built sculptures of creatures you love. Learn new skills whilst working within your own capabilities.

Jackie will share the techniques she uses and finds helpful for constructing sculptural pieces using no armature. The first three sessions will concentrate on building techniques and textures, taking into account the importance of design and facial and body expressions.

The last session will focus on final colouring and glazing on your piece

Participants will be able to take their work home to continue to work on their project.

One bag of BRT clay will be provided for each student. More can be purchased in class

Once fired, your finished creature will be weatherproof and happy to live inside or out, even in the Canberra climate!

This course caters to all levels of skill. Beginner students who have completed the Introduction to Clay course, Intermediate and advanced students
