For confident intermediate and advanced students, these special courses offer the opportunity to explore and dig deeper into a specific ceramic skillset with like minded people. Taught by teachers with specialist knowledge, these classes change from term to term and are a great way to build your ceramics skill and knowledge, or learn something new.

Clay and tool can be purchased in class or from our shop.

Often labelled the ‘problem child’ of the clay world porcelain offers an opportunity to develop translucence and work with vibrant glazes and colours. This course offers students the opportunity to spend a term learning how to prepare and use porcelain as part of their clay practice. The course will cover how to throw, hand build and trim porcelain, taking into account its precocious nature, to get the best out of your work. Making slips, colouring porcelain and building with coloured clay will also be covered.

Clay and firing are an additional cost.
