Unleash your child’s creativity and imagination. Spend term 3 exploring with clay at Canberra Potters. Children will learn the fundamentals of how to build and create with clay to bring their ideas to life and learn to use the potter’s wheel with experienced teachers.
Our aim is for children to learn through engagement in collaborative and self-directed projects. Both hand building and wheel throwing are available to explore, and children are encouraged to build mutual friendships based on a shared love of creativity.
The teacher will determine the term program in consultation with the children, their expressed interests and skill levels. Children are encouraged to bring their ideas in an art journal or notebook and to collect images to explain their ideas and aims for the term.
Clay, glaze and firing are included. Canberra Potters will fire up to 10 pieces across the term for each enrolled child or young person as part of this course.
We welcome parents who would like to join their child to enrol and share the fun.
