Workshop One

COVID CHANGES - Due to ACT and NSW COVID requirements Rob Linigen is unable to travel to the ACT. Janet De Boos has graciously stepped in to run this course. All current participants have been notified of changes. Please contact [email protected] if you have any further questions.

Join us in January in our newly airconditioned workshop to explore the mysteries of glazing with Rob Linigen.

Blue Mountain’s potter Rob Linigen is passionate about glaze and firing. Join him for a 5 day intensive Summer School in creating your own simple to spectacular glazes at cone 6 and cone 9.

Demystify glaze chemistry and use a range of methods to develop
glaze colours and surfaces to suit your work. Gain control and understanding of your glazes for consistent results or explore how to let your glazes express the wilder side of your work.

Learn a little chemistry, with processed and found materials, and develop your application and firing methods to enrich your work.

This course includes both demonstrations and practical sessions. Rob will focus on Cone 6 glazes but will also demonstrate and discuss glaze development and application to cone 9.
