Rob Linigen

Workshop One

Join us this July to explore the mysteries of glazing with Rob Linigen.

Learn to make your own luscious surfaces that express your individuality with glazes.

Through 5 days of hands-on learning you will develop the skills of mixing and testing to make and modify surface and colour in glazes.

Application and firing methods and some basic chemistry to enhance your work and deal with faults.

Please note we will be firing a gas and electric kiln during the course to explore different ways glazes interact in different firing environments and the course will explore glazes across the firing spectrum.

Rob Linigen is a Blue Mountains based potter and former TAFE Head Teacher who works with ash and other found materials as well as commercially available materials to create some spectacular glazes in functional and sculptural work. We will work with stoneware materials in this workshop but the the techniques are easily used at all temperatures.
