Children’s Pottery Classes

Canberra Potters has been offerring pottery classes for school aged children for over thirty years. 

We have nurtured the creativity and imagination of more than a generation of children from the ACT and regions. Some of these have gone on to persue art at university (and even come back to work at Canberra Potters!). We’re sure all have benefited from the opportunity to learn to problem solve and think creatively while having fun with clay.

In a supportive and accepting environment our experienced teachers guide and encourage children. They will learn the basic clay skills to help bring their ideas to life.

A weekly pottery class provides children with opportunites to create and explore their ideas, while making friends and learning skills that will have ongoing benefit as they grow and develop.

It’s a great break from the commitments of everyday life, doesn’t require the use of an iphone or computer…well…maybe the occasional bit of research for their projects!

We accept enrolments from school aged children between five and sixteen years of age. Parents who would like to share the experience of a pottery class with their child are also welcome to enrol and join the fun.
