EASS Resident during 2016.
Anna O’Neale was awarded a residency as part of the Emerging Artist Support Scheme which forms an integral part of our AIR program. Anna’s whimsical sculptural works, usually based on rabbit characters, incorporate metal armatures as legs and arms. She utilizes props and schematics to create fanciful worlds for her creatures to inhabit. Her surface treatments are based around low temperature textural glazes and alternative firings such as sawdust and raku, both available through the Canberra Potters facilities. Further research and development during her residency allowed new hybrids to evolve.
A requirement of the EASS award residency is for the resident to donate a piece of their artwork to the CPS collection.
