Andres Caycedo

Since 2014, Andres Caycedo has based himself in Canberra as an artist and potter. In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor of Design Arts from the Australian National University, majoring in ceramics. 

His current work is focused on the exploration of geometry in the field of architectural ceramics. This particular line of work includes research of additive materials with clay for casting and work with new technologies for the fabrication of prototypes. His art has become a research tool, with his practice largely sculptural. He has a deep interest in the nature of the clay, in combination with or applied to the creation of polyhedral forms. 

Andres has been a regular participant in solo and group shows locally and nationally.
